Pennsylvania Women Work (PAWW) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to helping individuals from diverse backgrounds achieve economic self-sufficiency through job readiness, education, training and employment.
PAWW is comprised of individuals and community service organizations – such as the New Choices Career Development Services – working to provide job training and employment services to single parents, displaced homemakers, and low-income heads of households.
Each year, PAWW provides services to more than 5,000 women, assisting them in achieving economic self-sufficiency for themselves and their families.
Through career development courses, basic skills and computer training, program participants set realistic goals and are given the tools to achieve them. Traditional and non-traditional careers are explored and participants receive information on community resources such as Pennsylvania CareerLink, scholarships, childcare services, and appropriate clothing. This holistic approach has been showcased by a 95 percent retention rate among program participants and a 90 percent success rate among program completers in achieving goals.
We encourage you to visit this site often to learn about our programs, our events and, mostly importantly, our participants.
