If you don’t have dental insurance or can’t afford professional dental care, some communities and clinics offer discounted or free services to seniors in need, and most dental schools offer

Health Coverage for Uninsured Adults
Pennsylvania is committed to quality health care for all of its residents. Adult Basic Healthcare provides health insurance for low-income adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who have jobs without health insurance coverage or are between jobs. Applicants must not have had health insurance for the past 90 days to qualify. The Health Investment Insurance Act (Act 77 of 2001) is a dramatic initiative that takes the proceeds for the state's tobacco settlement and invests them into the health of PA consumers. Mammograms
The Mammogram Voucher Program provides FREE mammograms and follow up services to medically underinsured or uninsured women in 30 counties in Pennsylvania. Health Coverage for Uninsured Children
All children and teens in Pennsylvania who do not have health insurance and are not eligible for Medical Assistance have access to health insurance through the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). CHIP has expanded, so more children can enroll. Don’t assume that you earn too much to qualify. It doesn’t matter how much money your family makes. Many will get it free. The Family Savings Account program The Family Savings Account program helps low income individuals by matching funds put into a savings account with the purpose of purchasing a home, making home repairs or renovation, paying for post-secondary education or vocational training for themselves or their children, funding a small business enterprise, paying for child care services in order to secure job training or employment or other approved programs. This is not a loan. It is a grant from the state that you do not have to pay back. Colleges
The Educational Opportunity Center is for adults looking to attend college or other post-secondary educational programs. They provide services to low-income adults, or children whose parents did not obtain a bachelor’s degree. PA Women Work has a business clothing closet to help individuals who need a suit to look their best on job interviews or to start them out at a new job. Visitors to our clothing closet will receive individualized assistance in choosing outfits. Most individuals are referred to our clothing closet program by a community partner. Treasure House is a nonprofit retail shop in Pittsburgh that provides beautiful used clothing for women.
